Where There Is No Doctor in Chichewa now in Kasungu, Mangochi, Balaka, Mulanje and in Mozambique! - June 2010

Umoyo Trust extends its distribution in effort to reach more people in rural areas. Pamene Palibe Dokotala, the Chichewa version of Where There Is No Doctor, is now also available in Kasungu, Mangochi, Balaka and Mulanje. People can now visit the nearest bookshop to buy a copy for their home, relatives and friends or a community - based project. Other towns include Lilongwe, Blantyre, Mzuzu and Zomba.

There is around 600,000 Chichewa/Chinyanja speaking people along the Mozambique/ Malawi border.  Millions of Mozambican men, women and children are facing the same survival struggle as their Malawi neighbors. Underfinanced health sector, lack of resources, drugs and skilled medical staff is cause of otherwise easy preventable deaths. Umoyo Trust tries to reach as many people as possible and empower them to help themselves and their community. Pamene Palibe Dokotala is now available also in Mozambique, Mandimba.
